Clea is a surface pattern designer and artist, influenced by her many years working in the theatrical worlds of costume design and floral styling. She has always loved experimenting with new ideas, materials and techniques, to tell stories, and feel connected to her process. For Clea, creating patterns always starts from a place of curiosity, evolving into playful studies on paper. She favours expressive mark making, using paint and ink, and simple printmaking methods. This results in creating textures and lines with personality. Inspired by her vibrant home, the City of London, Clea hopes to create joyful patterns that encourage you to see the world with fresh eyes.
