About the Prints

This collection sprung to life upon discovering that 'Mistletoe' refers not only to a festive plant, but also a beautiful red chested bird - a combination just asking to be turned into a Christmas quilting collection! The collection is sweet and playful, combining more familiar Christmas motifs of candy canes and wreaths with birds and florals and just a touch of 'mistletoe based' romance.

About the Artist

Melanie Sharpe is the freelance Surface Pattern Designer and Illustrator behind Wirihana Design. She is based in Auckland, New Zealand, where she lives with her husband and her two young boys.  Inspired by the world around her, and the rather quirky perspective of looking at the world through the eyes of her toddlers, Melanie loves to create designs with engaging colour palettes and often a touch of humor.
